of custom homes—you can add in whatever features you want! Before you take
the plunge and put in a pool, however, make sure you understand how much
maintenance and care is involved in pool ownership.
You have to care for a pool
all year round, not just in the summer months. If you’re not up to the task,
you can always hire a pool service, but be sure to factor this extra expense
into your decision.
Also consider how often you’re likely to use the pool. There
are some people who add pools to their custom homes and then never use them! If
you and your family regularly go to the neighborhood or community pool,
however, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll get a lot of use out of a home
pool. Just think carefully about the decision and make sure it’s the right one
for you.
